Where Have They All Gone?
This is what you may ask when viewing this series of photos. When the soviet forces were finally withdrawn from Germany in 1994 they left numerous urbanizations, which were erected for the soldiers and their families, mostly during the seventies. Since the military baracks, with which they were associated, were located often far away from the cities there was no longer any use for these residential buildings and they remained abandoned till today.
